Marty started Wildwood Music in 1980. Don joined her soon after.
We are both singers, and love to perform with guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano, mountain dulcimer, and hammered dulcimer. Don also plays resonator guitar, and Marty plays Celtic accordion.
We have degrees in Education, and enjoyed Teaching careers. However, our true passion in life is reflected in our Personal Mission Statement: Helping musicians get the very nicest instruments at the lowest prices possible!
Here at the Lockkeeper’s House, built circa 1845 in Historic Roscoe Village, we meticulously care for our precious stringed instruments by maintaining precise humidity and constant temperatures year ‘round! Visitors are careful to use the soft wipe clothes we provide, to help us protect the instruments—keeping them pristine for their future “Mommy” or “Daddy!”
Whether we carefully ship your new special instrument, or we personally introduce you to it here at Wildwood, it is always our special joy to meet a new music friend!
