D-45--(Martin List Price; $9999) "Incredible" does not seem too strong a word to describe the magnificent sound and texture of tone this fabulous East Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce guitar produces! Widely believed to be the best Dreadnought guitar in the world, this famous model has been owned by well-known musicians, and so many others that will never have more than 5 minutes of fame, or will experience no fame at all! Still, they all have in common the special comradarie that ownership of the D-45 Martin specifically confers! Come for a visit to Wildwood today, and play this Champion of champion dreadnought guitars. Bring your best to compare; or, play some of our other guitar treasures alongside this legendary Martin. Be prepared to be enthused and overjoyed in the playing of this CFM Flagship instrument!!!
O-28VS--(Martin List Price; $4699) Martin has re-issued another time-tested masterpiece. We were so happy when Martin decided to build these 12-fret-joined, 24.9" scale small beauties, but we were not sure about the Modified V neck with 1 7/8"at the nut. Since all of these necks are hand-shaped, we personally selected this guitar which definitely had the most comfortable, and the most trim-feeling neck of all the ones we played!!! On this guitar, it is VERY comfortable to move up and down the fretboard!! The short-pattern diamond and square inlays are quite helpful in quickly identifying fretboard positions! You will be amazed at the volume coming from this small-bodied guitar! Taken altogether with the hand-carved slotted headstock, the beautiful nickel Waverly tuning machines, and the artfully-carved pyramid bridge, and herringbone trim, this rediscovered Martin may well increase your lust for playing more fingerstyle guitar!
Custom J40 12-String, Italian Alpine Spruce--This wonderful Jumbo Martin 12-string guitar was made by CFM's finest luthiers in the Custom Shop. The top really sets the tone with its extroardinarily rare Italian Alpine Spruce. This wood is from the same area in the Italian Alps that Stradavari went to select the tops for his fine violins. The back and sides are made from premium East Indian Rosewood; and, when combined with a hand-made one-piece Custom Honduran Mahogany neck, the overall resonance of the 12 strings is enhanced greatly. To amplify the majestic sound, Martin installed the ever-popular Fishman Matrix Natural One pickup. If you would like to love and cherish one of the finest 12-string guitars Martin has ever built, then this fine instrument was definitely made for you!
Martin's Custom Shop price is $5,394.11 from Wildwood, to you, for $3236!!!
CEO-4R--(Martin List Price; $3249) A delightful Special Edition guitar designed by Chris Martin himself!(He's the Martin CEO!). This guitar features a fine Adirondack Spruce top, with a dark Tobacco Sunburst. It is much prettier in person than it appears in photographs! High quality East Indian Rosewood is used for the back and sides. Our customers are so impressed with the tonal qualities--both the balance and the volume! For ease of play, a Modified Low Oval neck shape is combined with a 1 11/16" nut width. For a little added design "twist", Chris decided to go with a "sloped shoulder" design.
CUSTOM HD-28V Madagascar/Adirondack--FOR ALL YOU MADAGASCAR ROSEWOOD FANS, (and, who ISN'T, since Madagascar is the closest living relative to Brazilian Rosewood?!!!), we asked Martin's Custom Shop to build--for you, our most particular customer--this incredible guitar, with a fine Adirondack Spruce top, and a solid, one-piece, genuine Mahogany neck, all to complement the fabulous Madagascar tonewood on the back and sides. We had this powerhouse guitar made specifically with the 1 11/16" nut width, which is so comfortable and desireable to many Martin players. To add to the already remarkable investment value of this instrument, we had Bob Fehr--the "Guru" of the Custom Shop--and C. F. Martin IV sign a special paper label inside the guitar!
Martin's Custom Shop price is $7258.17 from Wildwood, to you, for $4354!!!
Custom HD-28 Amazon Rosewood/Adirondack--Our special thanks to our good friend, Danny Brown, of Martin's Custom Shop, for finding us this amazing Amazon Rosewood for the back and sides! He also chose this beautiful piece of Adirondack Spruce for the top. What a great idea when he also suggested that the bracing be the "Golden Era" pattern! The neck is a very comfortable "Low Profile", and measures 1 11/16" at the nut. To make this guitar look as beautiful as it sounds, we added Gold tuning machines. This guitar is SOOOOOO Special!!
Martin's Custom Shop price is $5270.39; WILDWOOD'S SPECIAL PRICE: $3162!!
Custom 00-28H--This small, short-scale treasure, will amaze you with its big, resonant tonal response! People will look at you when you are playing this guitar, and say: "Holy Cow, where is all that sound coming from????!" We had this one-of-a-kind Martin 00 built for us through the Custom Shop in Nazereth, Pa. Please take notice of the beautiful Sitka Spruce top, which bears hand-scalloped, 1/4" bracing. Get a view of the very handsome East Indian Rosewood back and Sides. Vintage fine herringbone is the decorative top inlay against the grained Ivoroid binding. 1930's style small abalone position dots adorn the fingerboard. We've added the Vintage "butterbean" tuning machines. We may have saved the best until last; a VERY comfortable 1 3/4" width at the nut makes this guitar extremely playable!
Martin's Custom Shop price is $4315.50 from Wildwood, to you, for $2589!!!
D-42--(Martin List Price; $6499) We are SO ENTHUSED about the D-42, from C. F. Martin! Using premium tonewoods--Sitka Spruce for the top, and East Indian Rosewood on the back and sides--this instrument is built following Prewar Specifications! The bracing under the top is advanced forward to the soundhole one inch. This shifted bracing produces a huge sound; some Martin lovers refer to this as a "cannon"! The most discriminating guitarist will find a world of great balance between the trebles and bass tones. The tuning machines are gold and open-geared, with butterbean knobs. The headstock owns a Style 45 inlay, in beautiful Abalone pearl. The fingerboard is tastefully appointed with the style 45 Snowflake inlay. Select, sparkling abalone pearl adorns the top, and is used for all the inlays on this magnificent guitar!
D-41--(Martin List Price; $4999) From the front, this guitar looks exactly like the glorious D45 model! It is made with upgraded East Indian Rosewood, and topped off with Fine-grained Sitka Spruce. Much intense handwork goes into the crafting of this Martin, with the inlay of dozens of Abalone pieces around the border of the top and rosette, as well as the famous "Hexagon" inlays in the fingerboard--and, there is also the D45-style inlay on the headstock!! This is a favorite instrument with customers of ours, who range from blues to bluegrass, and from Jazz to Celtic styles.
DC-Aura--(Martin List Price; $3849) We really love this Special Edition Martin! It has punch, and great playability, along with the state-of-the-art Fishman Aura pickup!! This guitar has been digitally imaged through six high performance microphones, and the amped-up results are remarkable! Sparkling Abalone pearl is inlaid around the edge of the top. A Style-45 Abalone rosette surrounds the soundhole. The tuning machines are gold, with Ebony buttons. The body features a very high grade Sitka Spruce top, with scalloped bracing. The back and sides are of equally fine East Indian Rosewood. The quite comfortable low oval neck boasts an fingerboard, with the beautiful Pearl Hexagon Outline inlay.
HD-35--(Martin List Price; $3699) Here you have a dreadnought which works equally well, both flatpicked AND fingerpicked!! White binding adorns the body and fingerboard; the neck is a very-comfortable modified low oval shape, which most musicians really love. The top braces being only 1/4" wide, and the three-piece back give great balance to the toneality of this fine instrument!
D-28 Marquis--(Martin List Price; $5299) We are EXCITED about this booming, big sounding dreadnought, with a 1 3/4" fingerboard! The Adirondack Spruce top produces a powerful, "CANON-like", bark! Martin chose the Golden Era Style for the forward-shifted scalloped bracing--also made with Solid Adirondack Spruce. Grained Ivoroid body binding, with fine Herringbone top inlay gives this fine guitar a very "vintage" look. On the fingerboard is inlaid the long pattern Golden Era "Diamond and Square" Abalone inlays. Ancient, fossilized Ivory is used to craft the nut and bridge saddle. If you loved the sound of the 1930's, "golden-era" Martins, then hold on to your socks, because this guitar will really "do it" for you!!!
D-21 Special--(Martin List Price; $3,849) What makes this guitar so special? SOUND, SOUND, SOUND!! This guitar has such a beautiful Vintage look, with the fine Herringbone rosette, and back purfling. Elegant East Indian Rosewood is chosen for the body binding. A low-profile neck shape, with a width at the nut of 1 3/4" makes this guitar very playable. The Style 21 fingerboard inlays are made of select Abalone pearl. A lovely pyramid bridge really sets off the vintage toner on the top.
HD-28V--(Martin List Price; $4099) Martin's Flagship Dreadnought guitar...a Vintage Re-issue of the masterpieces which Martin created in the 1930's! Made with fine East Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce, this guitar's skillfully hand-toned top is created with 5/16", forward-shifted individually hand-shaved braces! The bracing is glued to the top in Martin's traditional "X" bracing pattern, a Martin original idea! The top trim includes the bold herringbone pattern with grained ivoroid binding, and the fingerboard inlay is the long pattern "Diamonds and Squares". The neck is a very comfortable and trim vintage "V" shape. The nut and saddle are made of bone, naturally! This is our best-selling guitar, here at Wildwood Music!!
HD-28VE--(Martin List Price; $4428)Same incredible "boom-box" as above, but with Fishman's award winning Matrix Infinity Preamp system, installed by Martin in Nazareth, PA! We might add that the forward-shifted braces really bring up the trebles and mid-ranges, without sacrificing the huge, resounding bass!
HD-28--(Martin List Price; $3449) This is Martin Guitar Company's best-selling guitar! Each top has braces which are hand-shaved by CFM's most experienced crafters, to bring out the clearest, finest trebles and most powerful, most resonant basses a guitar can be capable of producing!! This guitar is patterned after C.F. Martin's powerhouse D-28 made in the late 1930's. A very user-friendly and easy-to-play low profile neck is a most welcome update of the old 'baseball bat" necks found on earlier Martins. No wonder this guitar continues to please old and new generations of Martin lovers!!
HD-28E--(Martin List Price; $3708) We had Martin add the new Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup to our always-popular HD-28.
D-28E--(Martin List Price; $2999) Fishman's new Infinity Preamp system gives this Martin classic a proper power boost!!
OM-28V--(Martin List Price; $4099) This Vintage Re-issue Orchestra Model, with its 1/4" hand-scalloped braces, will be embraced by the most discriminating finger stylist! With the string spacing at the nut 1 3/4", and the 25.4" scale length, this OM provides a big voice and ease of playability. To further enhance the sound, the nut and saddle are made of bone.
OM-28 Marquis--(Martin List Price; $5299) Wow! Here's a fingerstylist's delight, that really can be pushed by a flatpick, as well! The Adirondack Spruce top is tap-toned with 1/4" braces. Not only will this sound like a Vintage Martin Orchestra Model, but it looks like one, too!! With a rare fossil Ivory nut, the beautiful Fine Herringbone trim, the grained Ivoroid binding, Golden Era "Diamond and Square" fingerboard inlays, and the 1930's style belly bridge with the long fossilized Ivory saddle, you have the best OM Martin has to offer!! What a wallop this packs!
OMC Aura--(Martin List Price; $3849) We LOVE this Special Edition guitar!! When you first pick it up, you feel so much at ease as you begin to play! The neck is a fast Modified Low Oval shape, and the light gauge (12-54) Phosphor Bronze strings are close to the fingerboard. It is made with very high quality East Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce, which is like that used for a 40-series Martin. Wait until you hear the pure acoustic responsiveness of this Martin marvel! Those experienced Nazareth luthiers made this guitar well-balanced without giving up the powerful bass Martin is so famous for. But then, add in Fishman's revolutionary OnBoard Aura pickup, with digitally-imaged high-power microphones, and you have unmatched onstage versatility! The sparkling Abalone pearl trims the top of the guitar, and it possesses a "Style 45" rosette around the soundhole. In the headstock the C. F. Martin script logo is inlaid in Pearl. Chris Martin (C.F.M. IV) himself designed the Pearl Hexagon Outline fingerboard inlays, and they are quite elegant.
OMC FINGERSTYLE 1--(Martin List Price; $3899)--This amazing guitar has a unique configuration of woods, with very-responsive Cedar on the back and sides, and Adirondack Spruce on the top! The Adirondack Martin chose for this top is wonderfully "springy". This combination produces a very well-balanced sound, which has both great volume and note clarity. Other appointments include the Fine Herringbone top inlay, and grained Ivoroid binding. The finish is a highly- polished Gloss, and the fingerboard and bridge are smooth black Ebony. Gotoh Gold tuning machines, with L5 buttons keep this treasure in perfect tune. The 1 3/4" at-the-nut neck is an oh-so-comfortable Modified Low Oval shape. Although this guitar is called "Fingerstyle", those who have a light touch with a flatpick will find the voice of this instrument inspiring and fulfilling, as well! from Wildwood, to you, for $2339!!!
000-28EC--(Martin List Price; $4349)--This guitar has been re-created as a model that Martin had not made in nearly half a century! Whatever your reasons, you will appreciate Martin's choice of premium quality, genuine Central American Mahogany, and Sitka Spruce woods--all skillfully crafted by Martin Guitar Company's gifted luthiers!!!
D-18V--(Martin List Price; $3349) No wonder this classic "workhorse" of a guitar was brought back into the Martin lineup!
