What makes this unique tonewood so outstanding is the tonal envelope it creates. The sound is big, quick, and articulate. This wood's scientific name is Roupala Brasilensis, and it grows deep in the rainforest in South America. D-60--This Larrivee Dreadnought features very high grade (AAA) Sitka Spruce for the top, and (AAA) East Indian Rosewood for the back and sides! The modified symmetrical parabolic bracing, teamed with the enlarged soundhole, delivers an excellent low-end, while maintaining strong mids and trebles.

D-50--The finest Honduran Mahogany (AAA) is used to craft the back and sides, and the addition of the AAA Sitka Spruce on top really maximizes the sound capability of this giant!
